Several months ago, I came across a lacrosse clinic promotion on Instagram for an event in Dallas, Texas. As I looked closer, two familiar faces stopped me in my tracks.
I don’t know the Harber family personally, but I have cousins in Dallas who shared heartbreaking news with our family last summer: their close friends’ daughters, Blair and Brooke Harber, were missing after the devastating Central Texas flash floods. Tragically, both girls lost their lives.
When I recognized Blair and Brooke on the “Sister Sister Community Clinic” flyer, the connection felt immediate. They were 13 and 11 years old—the same ages as so many girls in the GLOW community. It knocked the wind out of me.
I felt an urgency I couldn’t ignore. How could GLOW help? I reached out to the team organizing the clinic to see if there was any way we could support from Boston.
Then, unexpectedly, I received a message from RJ Harber. He had come across GLOW Lacrosse and shared that Blair and Brooke would have loved being part of this community. He had no idea I had already made the connection—or that my cousins were their friends.
It was fate, or a sign from God. That’s when I knew GLOW was meant to honor Blair and Brooke and support their family, all the way from Boston.
Our Mission?
GLOW LACROSSE is supporting the Blair & Brooke Harber Fund, using the game to raise awareness around teamwork, commitment, and community impact.
As GLOW continues to grow, I want to bring the Blair & Brooke Fund with us as part of the experience. We want to give back to the Harber Family and the Texas community in this way by creating more visibility and awareness about The Fund.
Help us carry Blair & Brooke’s legacy forward—through service and connection through direct support of the Blair & Brooke Harber Fund.
