GLOW LACROSSE functions as a year-round opportunity for girls to play! We provide customized and comprehensive instruction for your daughters to learn the fundamentals and elevate their game. We focus on the BASICS— skill enhancement, consistency, game IQ, and understanding how all the pieces fit together. As coachs and mentors, we show up to every clinic with a passion to see your daughter improve, and recognize her own progress. She needs to want it for herself, just as much as we do. And we are here to make sure she does.

So how do we make that happen? We believe real progress requires more than just skills, drills and positive reinforcement. Developing great lacrosse players starts with developing great people— at GLOW, we take time on and off the field to really get to know your daughters. It helps us understand their unique personalities, motivations, and their learning styles — this allows us to coach them in the way that helps them thrive and build confidence. If we tell them we believe in them every week, they start to believe in themselves. This leads to higher levels of engagement, and a much stronger motivation to show up each week ready to get to work! The next thing you know, at the start of every clinic, we see our players run out onto the field and give us a big hug, tell us about their day, or show us their perfect cartwheel.

And as the world of youth sports becomes increasingly competitive, sadly even at this age, coaches these days tend to lose sight of how powerful this player/coach connection is. But we don’t, because we know it’s the gamechanger.

That is the GLOW difference.

THE POWER OF TEAM SPORTS

GLOW is not a club. In fact, our classes are designed to complement club play -- not compete with it. We have thoughtfully constructed a positive, fast-paced and high-energy environment where girls can sharpen their game, keep pace, prepare for a tryout, build confidence, get those extra touches on the ball, and just play!— but on their own terms, and on a schedule that works for them!

One of our core beliefs at GLOW is our unwavering support for multi-sport athletes, especially at this age. We encourage your daughters to pursue multiple sports because it builds adaptability, coachability and social awareness. When it’s time to focus on lacrosse — her natural athleticsm, accompanied by the basic skills she has developed as a result of playing several sports throughout the year, we often see a faster learning curve.

How do we create that balance? If your daughters are juggling soccer, dance, or school demands, GLOW is the perfect “training camp” that provides her with great coaching, a positive environment, and the flexibility to play on her own time—without the pressure, or year round commitment.

THE GLOW METHOD

THE GLOW SQUAD

While our programs arranged by age,

we know that skill level matters just as much.

Level 1: SHOOTING STARS: (4-6yrs) At Shooting Stars, engagement, building trust, and growing confidence are at the heart of every session. We blend music, imagination, and physical movement with hands-on instruction to teach proper stick grip and control, and smoother movement. Your girls will be led by compassionate and nurturing female coaches, who support them on the field. That unique bond at this age of development is the gamechanger. We want parents to relax and enjoy watching their daughters develop into these independent and enthusiastic little athletes!

Level 2: GLOW Girl: (1st-2nd) At this age of development, this group of girls is often overly energetic, eager to compete, and hungry to learn. GLOW Girl is a perfect mix of hands-on instruction, and fast-paced drills to keep them motivated, moving, and entertained. We weave in more structure and discipline into GLOW GIRL since the girls are not only new to the sport, but they are new to the world of organized sports! We focus on our listening skills, respecting our coaches and teammates, and learning the importance of unselfish play and positive communication.

Level 3: GLOW Up (3rd-4th): GLOW Up program is designed for girls who are ready to take their game to the next level while still keeping it fun, supportive, and age-appropriate. At this stage, players begin mastering core skills like stick work under pressure, dodging, shooting with purpose, ground ball dominance, and smart defensive positioning. We also introduce higher-level concepts like spacing, off-ball movement, and developing “field IQ” so they start to see the game strategically—not just reactively. Just as importantly, we focus on confidence, resilience, and leadership.

  • "Caroline is truly a treasure to the south shore community. We signed our 4 year old up for Shooting Stars this spring, and she came home, jumping for joy! We have never seen her this excited about a new activity. She loves lacrosse and she's making all these new friends. We hear her singing, "I just love love love lacrosse!!!" "

    - Shooting Stars parent

  • “Caroline ran an excellent winter skills camp for our 8 year daughter new to lax. She went from being afraid of the ball to learning how to pass and cradle to ultimately being very excited to join the town girls team. There she developed quickly into a strong defensive player and even scored a goal in her last game.”

    - GLOW Up parent

  • "There is something about Caroline-- she has such a passionate personality, and she is so good with the girls. We are so glad we found Caroline and Glow Lacrosse, and we can't wait to sign her up again this summer!"

    -Shooting Stars parent

  • “Glow Lacrosse has been the highlight of our winter. Coach Caroline brings such a great energy and experience to each clinic. My girls have absolutely loved it. She keeps all the girls moving, and does a fantastic introducing beginner skills and making it fun! We came back again in the spring, and we will definitely be back this summer!"

    -GLOW Girl parent

  • “Caroline, I just wanted to share the good news that my daughter made Laxachusetts! I really think just one private session with you made a huge impact. She told me she won all the draws (this was a struggle for her this past season) and had lots of goals and assists. You really boosted her confidence which is of course huge!”

SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING (For 5th-6th graders)

SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING (For 5th-6th graders)

Supplemental Training for Girls Who Want to be their BEST.

By 5th and 6th grade, many girls are already playing consistently for their town or club teams — which is why smaller groups are key to helping them stand out:

  • More Coaching, Faster Progress → Coach Caroline’s coac hing starts will further refining basic skills and correct habits before they stick.

  • More Reps, More Confidence → Fewer players means more touches, more opportunities, and more growth.

  • Smarter, Stronger Players → Small groups let us focus on game IQ, decision-making, and leadership.

At this stage, it’s not just about playing more — it’s about playing smarter.

Caroline focuses on both skillset and mindset. She has the experience to identify any areas of development and work with you to discover your strengths! She is here to listen and customize a plan to put you in a position where you need to be, to reach your full potential.

MEET COACH CAROLINE!

MEET COACH CAROLINE!

Caroline Hines Fitzgerald

Founder & Head Coach

Caroline found her love for lacrosse as soon as she picked up a stick for the 1st time in 4th grade! Her success was fueled by her love for all sports, and by the support of her coaches, mentors, and, most significantly, her family, who always believed in her. Her drive didn’t come from outside pressure. It came from within, inspired by the confidence others helped her build.

Caroline is as passionate about sports today, as she was as a kid— and she wants the same foundation of belief and joy for your daughters. She originally came up with the vision of GLOW in an effort to ensure her girls have the same experience- GLOW is a program that will give your daughters confidence, proper instruction, and pure joy.

Caroline graduated Deerfield Academy in 2003 as a 3x All-American in lacrosse. She was a 4-year letter winner, and a 3-Sport captain in Field Hockey, Squash, and Lacrosse. Caroline graduated from Harvard College in 2007, where she was a Division I 2-sport Athlete on the Varsity Squash and Varsity Lacrosse teams. She still holds Harvard’s record for most assists in a single game. One of her greatest achievements was the opportunity to play at Harvard alongside her younger sister, Ali, just 1 year behind her in school. Her father Stephen also played Varsity Soccer at Harvard, Class of 1976.

Caroline has years of coaching experience in youth sports, specifically lacrosse and soccer, including Thayer Academy’s middle school Boys A Team basketball team. Before pursuing a full-time career in coaching, Caroline spent over 17 years in financial services executive search- advising recent college graduates to help them navigate their way through rigorous interviews to land a job they truly love.

Caroline is a mother of 2 little girls, Maeve (7) and Keira (6), who enjoy lacrosse but prefer dancing or karate. You can usually find them pacing up and down the sidelines behind their mother and often giving pep talks and hugs to all the players, most of whom they have never met. Caroline resides on the South Shore of Boston and comes from an exceptionally large Boston-based family.
